Cal Expo Saturday Night Late Pick 4

Since Cal Expo's late Pick 4 on Saturday nights is carried live on TVG, I have been paying more attention to it; especially with a guarantee of $20,000 and a 15% takeout.  Since the takeout has been increased, why not share my selections?

Cal-Expo - Saturday, March 3, 2012

Twelfth Race - (3) Bo Knows Power jumped off in last two starts; stayed flat in qualifier.  If stays flat can win it all. (1) Alexander Penn was scratched in last start.  Two starts earlier won from rail in lower company despite being impeded.  May be worth including on your ticket.  (5) Bullet Tooth Tony finished second with no cover.  A better trip may do it.

Thirteenth Race - (6) Blissful Kassie quit off fast fractions.  Expect slower pace and may be involved at the end.  (3) High Maintenance got engaged in a duuel and finished third.  If she gets the lead unchallenged it may be all over.  (5) Pilgrims Skyfire would be my pick if you insist going three deep here.  As morning line favorite, I will skip.

Fourteenth Race - (4) Persuade Me won last week and steps into open claimers.  Second choice worth a shot considering (2) Silver Bloom is a suspect favorite at 8-5. (8) Looking At You draws poorly but dominated last week but must keep on ticket.  (1) Red Star Penny put two good efforts in this class and now draws rail.  Include.

Fifteenth Race - (2) Jet Tet Tet got hung in second start off injury.  Last race says he may be ready.
(3) The Future steps up off a well fought race.  (5) Village Benjamin is a risky favorite who returns of a judges scratch; your guess but would hate not to have on ticket if made it this far.

Selection: 1,3,5/3,6/1,4,8/2,3,5 - $54 play
