News Flash: The Ball is in the Governor's Court

As reported by The Record, Jeff Gural has submitted a proposal to take over the Meadowlands.  This proposal now goes to the Governor's office.  I imagine this is not the final offer; there may be some back and forth.  Time will tell if the Governor is looking for too much or is truly interested in horse racing surviving at the Meadowlands.

I'd flip a coin on whether the first proposal is approved. This may go on for a while - perhaps even past the April 1st so called "deadline".

There is no mention about simulcasting if live racing ceases. Derby Days (and the prep Saturdays) are some of the biggest days for the Big M. Any word on that?

I believe simulcasting would continue.
