Today, kicks off the countdown to Back at the Track which will occur Friday through Sunday this weekend. For today's countdown, I would like to let you know that visitors to the Meadowlands (Paddock Park), Tioga Downs, and Yonkers Raceway should look out for the Standardbred Retirement Foundation. They will be at those tracks collecting funds for their program which includes maintaining many hores under their care. Whether you donate a few dollars or perhaps part of a big ticket to SRF, it would be appreciated.
As for big races this weekend, off course there is the Meadowlands Pace on Saturday night, but there are other great races this weekend.

The return of the Conners for 3 yrct @ Hazel Park is also Saturday night.
In my opinion another lame Back to the Track promotion. As someone who goes to the track on a consistent basis if it was not for The Tompkins Geers on Sunday at Tioga I wouldn't bother. Nothing entices me. Actually , I would love to go up to Buffalo Raceway on Back to the Track day unfortunately they have it on a Sat. night and not Sun. afternoon. Sorry, 7 hour round trip does not equate at night.
If I’m ho hum about going to the track that says a lot to me. If you have a degenerate harness racing fan yawning, there’s a problem. There’s always part 3 next year???
