Dover Downs Sunday Stakes Preview

In error, I had previously listed the $200,000 Forest City Pace for Mares as being conducted last night at The Raceway at Western Fair District.  In reality, it is being contested this evening (11/17). 

Here are my selections for the Forest City Pace:

11th Western Fair Raceway - $200,000; Forest City Pace Final
1 Rocklamation (Zeron, 7-5) - Wire to wire last week and draws the rail. The one to beat.
2 Modern Cinderella (Henry, 20-1) - Tagged along last week. Seems overmatched.
3 Misty Moonstone (Core, 15-1) - Will need a strip to even factor.
4 Tea Party Princess (Plante, 10-1) - A change in tactics needed but does she have the speed?
5 Ginger And Freed (Shepherd, 6-1) - Should be more competitive. Chance with luck.
6 Ticket To Rock (Jamieson, 9-2) - Nice effort of layoff. Can challenge if tight.
7 Camille (B Miller, 5-2) - Elimination winner has tougher effort ahead.
8 Waasmula (Waples, 8-1) - If Rocklamation leaves, she may be in contention.

As the stakes season winds down, Dover Downs on Sunday even is the site of eight stakes races.  The Matron Stakes has traditionally been the stakes races which end the harness season and for all but the 3yo pacing colts who will be competing this weekend in the Windy City Pace at Maywood and the Progress Stakes at Dover; their Matron Stakes will be contested the following Sunday.

Here are my selections for the stakes races at Dover.  Regular overnight races are not handicapped.   None of the stakes races offer show wagering and some races don't offer place wagering either.
