A new internet harness racing newspaper, makes its debut today with the publishing of the first edition of Harness Racing Update. Actually, the first edition is a Breeders Crown Special as the first regular edition will come out on January 1. In the interim, additional special editions will be published for the Lexington meet and the October horse sales. Starting January 1, Harness Racing Update (HRU) will be published three days a week with issues being released on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Once ther racing season gets undrway in fill swing (mid-April through November), HRU will be published seven days a week.
HRU has a top notch staff as well. Respected harness racing writers Bill Finley and Mike Farrell will be the lead reporters in addition to Emily Gaskin who will reporting regularly. Other contributors, including Dean Hoffman, will be contributing to HRU as well. Harness racing columnist Andrew Cohen will be one of several columnists for the publication. Whether someone involved intimately with the industry or just a fan, HRU is for you.
