Let's take a look at three races on Saturday night's schedule. Surprisingly, while short in number of entries, the Lismore and Rooney Finals at Yonkers are worthy to watch as there are a few high quality horses racing in these races. Must admit, the value may not be there but we try to grab a couple of decent prices anyway, realizing we may still end up losing.
Meanwhile Atochia heads out to Indiana to compete in the Dan Parch Invitational. This is not a cake walk as Golden Receiver is there to do battle as does OK Commander. This may turn out to be a good betting races.
.
4th YR - Pace; $176,484 - Lismore Final (3yo Fillies) - No Show Wagering
4 - Jamie Sue (Macdonald, 5-1) - What a difference a year makes. Earns the shot against these. Why not?
2 - Handsoffmycookie (Tetrick, 3-5) - Has race under her belt. Expect better but offers no value.
3 - JK Fine Art (Morrill, 6-1) - Beat the fave last start but may not be able to do it this time.
6th YR - Pace; $306,204 - Art Rooney Final (3yo Open)
4 - Pet Rock (Sears, 8-1) - Have no doubt he has his work cut out for him but attractive at these odds.
1 - Bolt The Duer (Macdonald, 7-5) - Eye opening 1:50.1 qualifier at PcD5/8, including a :25.4 last quarter. Still want to see more.
5 - Hurrikane Kingcole (Tetrick, 8-5) - Made three-wide move to win NJSS preliminary in last. Eligible to impove.
12th Hop7/8; Pace - $200,000 - Dan Patch Invitational
5 - Golden Receiver (Palone, 5-2) - Never will see these odds but is the one to beat.
7 - Special T Rocks (Bier, 3-1) - Has blossomed this year and appears tight. Consider.
1 - OK Commander (Dilander, 8-1) - May foul up the light exacta.
4 - Ideal Choice (Widger, 6-1) - Toss last. Completes the exotics.
