1 - Even more "fishy"...Two observations:

1 - Even more "fishy" than the use of the word "treatment" (as opposed to "yogurt"), is the phrase "SAFELY". Why would it ever be "unsafe" to feed a horse yogurt?

2 - It seems Jimmy Takter was very outspoken about this possible violation. People that have been around for a while will remember that Takter himself had a couple of SERIOUS incidents involving the illegal treatment of horses in stakes races (one in NJ, and one in Canada). Of course, the grooms were always blamed, and the Canadian incident was handled VERY kindly, perhaps due to the fact that Takter's owner (Wilmot) was the current "big man" at Woodbine! Oh - the other guy crying foul was Jeff Snyder, who won a bunch of the sport's biggest races while employing such nefarious trainers as Bill Robinson, Brett Pelling, etc. Of course Mr. Burke has been connected to a couple of serious infractions, in one case (successfully) blaming the groom's urine, and in the most recent, pointing a finger at the "shavings" (which according to experts in the field, is entirely impossible).

Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
