Quite a few "impossible" horses were winners thanks to the races simply falling apart, and ending up with a "last horse standing" winner. In the long run, these "impossible" results are as bad (or worse) than a parade of short-priced winners -- in other words, there's a BIG difference between competitive racing and a formless crapshoot!
