On Thursday (December 12), Monticello Raceway will host a Drive-Off between the leading dash driver in the nation Ronnie Wrenn Jr. against the third leading driver, Bruce Aldrich Jr. In this competition, the two drivers alternate between choosing a drive first or second (Wrenn had first choice on the odd numbered races while Aldrich had first choice in even numbered races). Of course, there are other drivers competing in these races, but it is how the two drivers do which will matter for the competition.
This is Ronnie Wrenn Jr.'s first time at Monticello Raceway while Bruce Aldrich Jr. is a familiar face at the Sullivan County oval. It will be interesting to see how the drivers do, in particular Wrenn who is making his first trip to the East coast so for those who follow racing only on the East coast it will be their first look at Wrenn.
Of course, while it will be interesting to see how the drivers do in this head to head competition, for horseplayers, it is who wins the races which matters the most. As such, I am listing my top four horses in each race for your consideration at the windows. If Aldrich and/or Wrenn are on a different horse, their selection is listed under the top four.
