Dave Brower Leaves the Meadowlands

Long time odds-maker, track handicapper, and television analyst at the Meadowlands, Dave Brower has resigned from his positions at the Meadowlands and some people are wondering if he was forced out at the Meadowlands or saw the writing on the wall.

I would say not.  Remeber, a track odds-maker, handicapper, and television analyst needs a product to work on.  With the number of racing days being cut serverly, I think it is safe to assume Brower decided it was time to move on to other endeavors.

The Meadowlands will be poorer for losing a talent like Dave Brower, but in life nothing is forever.  Racing fans are losing his expertise in handicapping, and his warm personality on television.  Horseplayers that benefited from Brower's excellent analysis and insight during his television appearances will be poorer as a result of his departure.

All I know is his replacement will have big shoes to fill.
